The Yamaha SA is a beautifully crafted vintage Japanese thinline archtop. The workmanship on these is outstanding, and it has its own design that looks very trendy today. This is the SA-30T version, completely hollow (like a Casino or ES-330), with neck binding, thumbnail markers and vibrato. it features hum free pickups with a blend knob, and F-hole baffles to minimise feedback.
Yamaha built these as high-end guitars for the Japanese domestic market, not as cheap exports for the rest of the world. And so, in the late sixties and early seventies, a time when Ibanez and others weren't making their greatest guitars yet, Yamaha came out with these beauties. They'll take on any American guitar from this period. This one functions perfectly and is ready for the next 60 years of rock 'n roll.
