The AES-820 is a high-end single cut guitar, where Yamaha introduced some subtle improvements. This made in Taiwan guitar features a beautifully carved alder body and maple neck with 24 3/4 inch scale length and rosewood fingerboard. All the hardware is custom made for this guitar, as well as the unique DiMarzio humbuckers. The electronics feature twin volume controls, three way pickup switch and a three way filter switch (full, bass rolloff, treble rolloff) - quirky, yet very usable. The result is more than the sum of its part. It's very resonant, reactive and precise - reminding me of a good PRS or Nik Huber. I think you'll like it
Condition: very good, with a couple of small dings (most noticeably on the headstock) and some buckle rash. Fully original.
