Part of Vox’s ambitious guitar range from the first decade of the 2000s, this SSC-55 SS takes many cues from the Virage series while developing its own distinct character.
It features a chambered mahogany body with a carved ash top, a set mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. The 25.125" scale length and MaxConnect bridge provide excellent sustain, clarity, and dynamic response, while the two CoAxe pickups bring a remarkable range of tones.
Designed by Joe Gore specifically for these guitars, the CoAxe pickups deliver three distinct voices from each pickup: a clear single-coil sound, a punchy P90 character, and a full humbucker tone — without the compromises often associated with split-coil designs.
Built by World Music in Korea, this SSC-55 SS was a high-end instrument in its day and remains an exceptionally well-made guitar. With flawless craftsmanship, versatile electronics, and a unique design, it is ready for the stage, the studio, and its next chapter of making music.
