This one is easy to describe: the Taylor Solidbody Custom is excellent in every way. It's beautiful, plays like a dream, and sounds glorious. It can hold its own against the best guitars from PRS, but it still has its own unique qualities, with its compact, semi-hollow construction, single bolt neck joint, unique bridge design, and cleverly wired mini-humbuckers.
The electronics are quite exciting: the five-way switch gives you access to the neck or bridge humbucker, as well as three different blends of the two (inner coils in parallel, inner coils in series, and neck humbucker in parallel with the inner coil from the bridge pickup). The tone control works as usual for the first 3/4 of the taper, but as you turn it up higher, it adds more high-mids into your tone.
The ebony fretboard, comfortable neck, and low action make it very easy to play, allowing you to extract a lot of nuance from the wonderful pickups. These pickups are both fat and detailed—this guitar truly has a rich sound.
Condition: Very good, with a couple of small dings and nicks. This guitar is stamped NFS (not for sale)—it could be a demo model, or it might have been a b-stock model, but I can't see why. It's fully original with no repairs or modifications.
Includes: Original hard case
