For ever known as John Lennon's guitar, the Gibson J160e may look like an acoustic, but really is meant to be played through an amplifier and has a couple of reinforcements against feedback. It's recorded acoustic tone is one you know from many Beatles songs. The J160e is a glorious looking instrument, with tone to match (plugged in, it also works very well as a jazz guitar).
Condition: This J160e is from 1968 or '69 (Gibson's serial numbers from this period are very unreliable, but the features match for a '68). Its's fully original except for the knobs and has had a refret. It's got playwear and scratches, and repairs to the bridge and headstock inlays - hence the lower price.
Repairs: the bridge has been reglued at some point, and the inlay on the headstock looks like it's been repaired.
Modifications: refret, replica knobs
Includes: non original hard case
