It's Fender's most flexible Strat! The American Professional II line has been getting lots of praise for its fretwork, build quality, comfort and, of course, pickups. The HSS setup combines a pair of V-Mod II single-coils with a Double Tap humbucker at the bridge, giving you everything from proper Strat chime and snap to fatter, higher-output sounds when you need them. The alder body, maple neck and comfortable Deep C profile make it a very easy guitar to live with, while the overall refinement of the American Professional II series makes this feel like a Strat that's been properly thought through for modern use. If you're after one guitar that can cover a lot of ground without losing the character that makes a Strat a Strat, this is a hard one to beat.
